Packers Offers Fans Free Hot Drinks
When going to see the Green Bay Packers play against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday, many fans were quite surprised to find out what they got on their arrival at the stadium – free hot drinks. While the cold is not necessarily out of the ordinary in Green Bay, the temperatures were expected to feel about -15 degrees Fahrenheit at the time that the game kicked off.
Of course, as the league that plays through some of the worst game conditions, the NFL plans to go ahead with the game, but it is almost definitely going to be the fans that end up suffering the most. Therefore, the concession stands at the stadium are planning to hand out free hot cocoa and free coffee.
The drinks are limited to two per spectator so that they don’t simply run out, and hopefully those two drinks are enough in order to keep the fans warm throughout what is almost certainly going to be a long game. Another question that has emerged from this particular incident is exactly what conditions are required in order for the NFL to cancel a game, a question that keeps getting asked over and over again.
