Pastor Bobby Davis Drops Dead After Admitting Affair

While it may be true that confession is good for the soul, its effects on the body may be open to debate. According to an article recently published by Examiner, Bobby Davis, a bishop in Connecticut, confessed his indulgence in an extramarital affair, and then dropped dead immediately afterward.

The national media received this shocking first hand account of the events from one of Davis’ parishioners, Judy Stovall: “After the service on Sunday, the bishop’s family asked us to remain in the church and the bishop confessed to us something that happened long ago. He wanted to come clean with all of us. He wanted to ask our forgiveness.”

However, just after making this shocking confession, Davis capped it off by dropping to his knees, the victim of an attack which medical authorities have yet to confirm was a stroke or heart attack.

Stovall continued her account of the matter as follows: “We were shouting, ‘We forgive you, we love you,’ but the stress of all of it — he had a heart attack. “I held his head as he lay on the floor. Our congregation is hurting now.”

The congregation Davis served is in the throes of mourning, with many wondering whether the death of their bishop was brought on by some form of “divine intervention”. Davis apparently did not make the confession of his own accord, but was prompted to do so by his wife, who insisted that Davis come clean about his marital infidelity. A replacement for Davis has yet to be named.
