Quartet of Robbers Steal Four Used Cars in Lower Sackville
A Lower Sackville used car lot experienced a crime wave after closing hours over the weekend when a quartet of young men managed to steal four vehicles parked at the location. Officials at the RCMP report that one of the young vandals was able to help the group gain access to the shuttered car lot by smashing the lock on a closed gate. Officers were called to the scene several hours before midnight. They managed to nab three of the four car thieves, all teenagers between the ages of 17 and 19. The trio was promptly arrested and is currently in police custody in Truro.
The fourth car thief, identified only as a 20-year old male who is a resident of Halifax, was captured in Upper Sackville. Police say he will be making a court appearance to answer criminal charges on Monday. Although police were able to retrieve two of the four stolen vehicles, they are still searching for the remaining two heisted cars. Police reports, however, did not give a description containing the makes and models of the missing vehicles or any indication where the thieves may have ditched the automobiles after driving them off the car lot.
