Gangsta Rapper Lupe Fiasco Accused of Hiding Drug Lord’s Stash

31-year-old Gangsta Rapper Lupe Fiasco from the Chitown (Chicago) is believed to be aiding his buddy Charles Patton in an ongoing divorce from Patton’s estranged wife. At issue is, of course, the money.

Patton, was convicted of dealing the opiate heroin and is serving a 44 year prison sentence. Apparently, his wife isn’t going to wait for him to get out and wants to get her share of the man’s ill-gotten gains.

It is being reported that the stash is a tidy sum in excess of $9M which Fiasco is hiding for his friend in various accounts. Patton’s wife has filed a lawsuit against the rapper to get him to turn over the money.

Fiasco’s lawyer calls the allegations by Inita Patton as baseless and claims that the singer of the song “The Show Goes On” has no involvement in any aspect of the Patton’s marriage much less control over their money. The statement by Fiasco’s attorney has not swayed Mrs. Patton who claims the money was withdrawn from her bank accounts.

At issue is whether the production company “1st and 15th” which handles Fiasco’s contract was used as a front to launder the money so that Mrs. Patton would not be able to take possession of it.
