Rock Star Arrests: Singer Kid Rock Has Rap Sheet of Arrests

42-year-old Robert James Ritchie aka Kid Rock is no stranger to jail cells largely stemming from his temper. While he has enjoyed success as a singer with record sales to date of 27 million, the five-time Grammy nominated singer has been arrested over seemingly insignificant matters that his temper blew out of proportion.

For example, over the six years from 1991 through 1997, he was arrested multiple times for alcohol-related issues. In the case of Kid Rock, alcohol and his temper are not a good combination.

Next, in February of 2005, he went out to a local Nashville dance club to celebrate signing a new record deal. He became disenchanted with the DJ’s music selection. Kid Rock articulated his displeasure via a knuckle sandwich which he cold-cocked into the DJ’s kisser when the verbal exchange did not product the results he wanted.

Finally, in October of 2007, the singer was arrested outside an Atlanta Waffle House after brawling with an angry patron who was displeased to see his girlfriend fawning over the singer. Part of his sentence for the misdemeanor assault was that he attend anger management therapy. It seem to have paid off as he hasn’t been arrested since.

On the other side of the coin, in August 2013 A 43-year old man was arrested while attempting to break into Kid Rock’s home in Independence Township. Rock posted a warning message on his blog after an unidentified man on crutches attempted to break into his home.
