Everyone knows Samuel L. Jackson loves to play golf. Just how much does he love to play the game.
Samuel L. Jackson loves the game of golf so much. He adds a golf clause to his movie contracts. Golf is this world famous actor’s true love, reports In the clause, Jackson gets to play golf at least twice a week.
Speaking to Cnn’s Living Golf Jacson spoke of the clause.
In order to do this he joins either a club near the set or they move him onto a golf course. He is also seen playing in many charity golf tournaments.
Samuel L. Jackson uses his love for golf to help raise money for many different charities. He has gotten many of his famous friends to help him raise money for such things as the Alzheimer’s Association. Which, he does a lot of work for in honor of his mother who had the disease.
Samuel L. Jackson’s golf contract clause maybe a little out there. But at least, he uses his love for the game of golf, to help other people out.
Jackson has played golf with Tiger Woods and Clint Eastwood to help raise money. He even gives young golfers’ advice on the game.
“The first time I played St. Andrews (in Scotland) I actually played with Tiger. That’s kind of a big deal. The first time I met him I played with him at the Dunhill (Championship) and I think his advice to me was ‘Follow me’ — and I actually did. I didn’t hit the ball as far as he did but I kind of hit the same balls.”
Jackson also shares his advice to golf newbies. “The first thing is keep your head down,” he says. “That’s the hardest thing to do when you’re a beginner because you always want to see where the ball is going, so you always tend to look up before you swing. So keep your head down, swing easy — not hard — find a tempo that’s comfortable for you, and have fun. Don’t take it seriously.”
Jackson will appear in Spike Lee’s upcoming “Oldboy” remake, and a remake of “Robocop” next year. He also has sequels to “Captain America” and “The Avengers expected out in the next two years.
