Sean Kingston forgets to pay massive bar bill

Mixup Leads Rapper Sean King to Walk from $8,771 Bar Tab Without Paying

Miami-born rapper Sean Kingston, age 24, ran up a hefty bell of $8,771 for what was essentially drinks at a local nightclub in the Dominican Republic in early February. According to police, the nightclub got them involved after the rapper and his entourage left the venue with the bill unpaid. The incident occurred at the Euphoria night club.

Police were able to locate Kingston and informed him that he would be prevented from leaving the country until his bill was settled in full. As it turns out, there had been a miscommunication between him and the nightclub managers who had previously told him that they would handle or “take care of” his drinks. He interpreted that to mean the drinks were on the house. Either way, it appears that the nightclub put their proverbial thumb on the scale when pricing their spirits.

For his part, Kingston immediately went back to the nightclub and settled the bill in full. He was quite apologetic about the mix up and apparently was keen to see to it that there were no hard feelings. He has made no official comment on the incident. For all general purposes, it seems like this whole thing can be chalked up to the adage, “No harm. No foul.”
