A 20-something transient man has been arrested and is being held following an alleged break in at Selena Gomez’s California home. Authorities are holding Cruz Che on $50,000 bond on charges of burglary and trespassing after he was discovered inside the pop star’s guesthouse.

Che was discovered on Gomez’s property after the actress and singer returned home Sunday evening around 9:30 p.m. She heard a noise then called security. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Che knocked on the door of Gomez’s home and asked if she was home. A friend who had answered the door slammed it shut.

Gomez’s security personnel later found Che in her guesthouse and held him until the authorities arrived later. Gomez bought the $3 million mansion last week.

This is not the first time Gomez has had to deal with an overzealous fan. The most terrifying may have been in 2011 when 46-year-old Thomas Brodnicki repeatedly talked about killing the star and was ordered to stay away from her. Brodnicki later admitted that Gomez indeed needed protection from him.

The 21-year-old Gomez is a popular star with kids and was named “Favorite Female Singer” at the Kids Choice Awards over the weekend. She starred in the popular “Wizards of Waverly Place” series and has also become a successful pop singer.

Much has changed since Gomez broke up with Bieber. For one thing, she had to undergo rehabilitation for what is believed to be part drug rehab and possibly to overcome an unhealthy obsession with Bieber. For this part, he has grown ever more insolent in whatever bad behavior might have originally caused their breakup. Now, there is talk that she might be engaged to Bieber. The rumors started after she was spotted at the “We Day Conference” with a gold wedding band on her left index finger on March 26. There has already been reports of the couple secretly planning their wedding. Bear in mind, there’s no confirmed reports they are dating much less engaged.

An anonymous source close to “The Biebs” has categorically denied any relationship between the two singers including any nuptial plans. The source called Selena’s ring a mere fashion accessory she chose to wear. Another source, this one close to Gomez, also denies the two are dating, engaged, or planning a wedding.

For her part, Gomez “chose” to wear her fashion accessory three days later. Yet another source claims that while the wedding planning story is false, both Bieber and Gomez are hot and heavy in their relationship again and that the ring was a gift from Bieber. As for her family, they have serious concerns that the tender doe-eyed young lady will elope with Bieber. Implied in their concern is that the marriage won’t last.
