Tara Reid Feared Blindness After Woman’s Attack

Following an attack by a crazed woman last year, Tara Reid admits that she feared she had been permanently blinded when a female she described as “psycho” assaulted her during an evening of nightclubbing. The incident occurred in London when another model noticed that Reid, one of the stars of the movie “American Pie”, was in deep conversation with a popular Dutch soccer star and became insanely jealous. The woman, a former model by the name of Maryam Hassan, quickly confronted Reid by throwing a glass of red wine directly at her chest. Reid did likewise while club security officers removed Hassan from the premises.

Unfortunately, she returned within a few minutes and managed to smash a wine glass into Reid’s face, shouting obscenities at the actress. Reid required prompt medical attention and was rushed to a nearby emergency room, suffering from cuts to her cornea in addition to glass cuts on both her nose as well as her forehead. Reid reports she could not open one of her eyes for several days following the attack and was terrified of becoming blinded. Although Hassan faced a jury trial as a result of the attack, she was recently acquitted of all charges.
