Three Sisters Killed And Sexually Assaulted In India
According to police in Nagpur, Indian, a manhunt is underway for the men who are suspected in the rape and killing of three young sisters, ages 6, 9 and 11.
According to ABC News, the bodies of these young sisters were found on Feburary 14 two days after they went missing from school in a village located less than two miles away in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra state. Wednesday, justice was demanded when shops were forced closed, tires were burned and a national highway was blocked in this area.
The bodies of the girls had been brutalized and thrown down a well. It is said that the police failed to begin an investigation and ruled their deaths to be ‘accidental’ The investigation into their murders only began after villagers of whom had found the bodies, started to block traffic in protest of the decision made of ‘accidental death’.
“The police did not take the case seriously and did nothing for two days,” the CNN-IBN television news channel quoted the mother as saying. Her name was withheld.

“We acted promptly,” Tiwari said. “Wireless messages were issued the same day and police teams fanned out to find the girls.”
According to to ABC, one police officer has been suspended for not acting promptly, Indian Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel, who represents Bhandara district in Parliament, told reporters in New Delhi.
“It is unacceptable. All of us have to hang our heads in shame,” Patel said.
The father of the girls had allegedly passed away five years ago and they were being raised by the mother and grandfather.
A report given post mortem confirmed the appearance that at least two of the young girls had been sexually assaulted, but is unclear as to their actual cause of death.
“I appeal to the government to capture the culprits and hang them in public,” said the girls mother.
