Shauna Justice in her police mugshot after being arrested for threatening TV reporter Claire Metz

Investigative reporter Claire Metz got a lot more than she bargained for when she knocked on the door of a recently suspended 911 dispatcher in Daytona Beach, FL. The WESH reporter was met by an angry Shauna Justice, who opened the door pointing a gun at Metz’s head. Metz wanted to ask Justice some questions about an incident last fall in which Justice was allegedly talking on her cellphone, which caused a trainee to send fire fighters to the wrong address of an emergency, resulting in the death of the homeowner from a heart attack.

Justice, who was already on suspension from her job at the 911 center, was arrested by local police officials and charged with aggravated assault.

She explained that she armed herself with a gun and pointed it at the television reporter who knocked on her door because she felt that the woman was harassing and threatening her.

Metz decided to visit the suspended 911 dispatcher in person rather than call her on the phone because Justice has an unlisted phone number.

Justice was released on bail, but has now been suspended from her job indefinitely. No word if Metz plans on pursuing her story with a second interview attempt.
