Yesterday Was Initial Launch of Xbox One

The most popular gaming system in the world in terms of recent annual sales is the Xbox from Microsoft, a relative new comer to gaming systems. The largest installed base over all is Nintendo, but Microsoft has been the gaming system preferred by most serious gamers.

Friday, November 22, marked the initial launch of what should end up being the best seller for the 2013 Christmas season with a limited release in 13 key commercial markets: Canada, the United States, Australia, Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, and the UK.

The big question that remains where to get one. Preorders of the Xbox One
had the initial inventory sold out at Amazon.ca and Amazon’s other sites in target markets since June. Those looking to pick up Sony’s PlayStation 4
next generation of powerful PC-like hand held gaming system (which technically had the jump on the term tablet years before they were popularized) will also be frustrated as Amazon is also sold out of those units from the initial release in target markets.

For both gaming systems, the new releases promise technological advancements such as the SmartGlass for Xbox one which allows users to connect their smart devices to the console and control web access, video content displayed on the TV, and even control the TV volume.
