Taylor Swift And Carrie Underwood Feuding?
Singer Carrie Underwood, who performed at this year’s Grammy Awards in a unique electrified gown, denies that she and fellow performer Taylor Swift are feuding.
Rumors that the two singers hate each other have been fueled by reports in US Magazine that Swift feels that Underwood treats her rudely and that Grammy officials were requested to keep the two artists away from other during the awards show to prevent the possibility of a mean word or dirty look being exchanged between the two.
But Grammy officials say they received no such request to keep the allegely dueling singers in separate parts of the ballroom and now Underwood herself has come out to say that reports of bad blood between the two superstars has no basis in fact.
However, Underwood said in on “CBS This Morning” — airing Wednesday — that there is no rivalry (to her knowledge).
“No,” the “Blown Away” singer told Gayle King when asked if she was feuding with the 23-year-old singer. “Not that I know of at least!”
Underwood says the rumours getting started in gossip magazine.
“In every magazine, in pretty much every (sic) newspaper or on gossip TV shows, they can just get away with it by saying ‘a source said’ or ‘a friend said’ or ‘an insider said,’” the “American Idol” alum spilled. “I’ve read the most ridiculous things about myself when people do that.”
To prove her admiration for the young singer, Gayle King asked Underwood to name her favorite Swift song.
“My favorite Taylor Swift song, oh my gosh,” smiled Underwood. “I really like ‘I Knew You Were Trouble.’ It sounded a lot different for her. I liked the branching out, trying some different sounds.”
In a recent interview, Underwood went so far as to say she admired that Swift was branching out and experimenting with different sounds in recent recordings.
