BBC Radio 1 Star Fearne Cotton Engaged

Fearne Cotton, the 32-year-old BBC Radio 1 star, only recently gave birth to her first child with partner Jesse Wood, a guitarist. The couple celebrated the birth of a healthy boy, Rex Rayne, earlier this spring. Now, Cotton has announced that her 37-year-old partner popped the question to her this past Sunday and she accepted.

“I’m over the moon to tell you that on Sunday Jesse proposed and I happened to say yes,” she wrote to her 4.8m followers.

Now, it was said earlier that Jesse Wood was a guitarist. It should bear mentioning that he was the apprentice of the famous Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood, his father. This means that Cotton will soon be joining the family and become the daughter-in-law to one of Rock ‘n’ Rolls iconic musicians.

For her part, Cotton’s romance and family came on the heels of hitting a low in her life. She had been engaged to a skateboarder by the name of Jesse Jenkins. Shortly after that relationship collapsed (much to no one’s surprise), she was left feeling that she would never find love. It just goes to show that the point of deepest darkness is when a person is the closest to finding light.

Fearne previously said: ”I’d love to get married and I’m sure Jesse would too, but we don’t have any plans yet.
”We’re so hectic with a baby and two other kids, and we’re both working. I think it’s important to feel like a family unit though.”

Wood has two children from a prior relationship and Cotton is very comfortable being their step-mother. She says they’re quite busy with family life right now and very happy as a result.
