Singer Blake Shelton Allows Wife to Search His Belongings for Evidence of Infidelity

Country Singers Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s marriage is showing signs of stress following allegations that Shelton, host of the show “The Voice”, has been unfaithful to his second wife Lambert.

In an interview with People Magazine, Shelton explains that he is completely comfortable with his wife scouring his computer, cell phone, and drawers searching for evidence of infidelity.

Really?

Shelton claims that he and his wife share complete honesty with one another.

That phrase is often used by couples in relationships as a sign of strength.

[I tell Miranda]…”Here’s my phone. Go through it,”‘ said The Voice judge. ‘That’s really the kind of trust we have. There are no secrets. [I’ll say,] “Go dig through my drawers or my computer if you feel like you need to.” And that’s been a really good thing, because I don’t want her to ever have any doubts.’

‘Of course, I haven’t seen a man brave enough to do that – mostly because I think they’d be afraid of her reaction.’

However, the mere fact that Lambert feels a need to go through every aspect of her husband’s private life to determine if he is being unfaithful is not a vote of confidence. Point in fact, it recalls former US President Ronald Reagan’s adage when dealing with the Soviets (long known for violating treaties) “trust but verify”.

The rumors started after Shelton carried on a flirtatious relationship with 23-year-old country singer Cady Groves. Shelton says he can understand his wife’s jealousy and claimed he’d feel the same if he saw her talking to another man.

‘I guarantee you, if I saw some guy flirting with my wife, it would p— me off,’ said Blake, who recently wrapped up season four of The Voice.

The trouble is he wasn’t seen talking to Groves, he tweeted her which proves he was maintaining a relationship as opposed to casually talking to her at some function.

Miranda, who has said before that ‘divorce is not an option’, was regularly flying out to Los Angeles to visit Blake while he shoots The Voice.

‘She’s been a lot better about finding me if I’m stuck in L.A. She’ll always fly instead of going home, even if it’s just a day or two,’ he said.

‘I can’t express how important that’s been to our relationship and why we’re doing so good, because I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t want to drive down a hill to go grocery shopping, much less fly across the country.’
