Brazilian teen kills family goes to school
São Paulo, Brazil – 13-year-old Marcelo Pesseghini is believed to have shot his mother and father in the head while they slept in their beds this weekend or early Monday morning.
Authorities believe he subsequently entered the apartment for this grandmother and great aunt and shot them dead as they slept.
The young teen then went to school and attended his classes. Afterwards, he took his own life using the same handgun. The victims were his father Luiz, age 40, his mother Andreia, age 30, his great aunt Bernadete Oliveira da Silva, age 55, and his grandmother Benedita de Oliveira Bovo, age 65. Everyone who died including Marcelo suffered a single gunshot to the head. CCTV cameras showed the youth going to school and returning home calmly. Marcelo was said to have been fixated on becoming a contract killer with his first hits being his own parents.
According to police, Marcelo had told a friend of his intention to kill his parents and drive away in their car to an undisclosed place where he would live.
“He always told me he wanted to become a hired killer. He had a plan to kill his parents during the night, so that no one would notice and escape in the parents’ car and live in an abandoned place,” police quoted the unidentified friend as saying.
He took his inspiration from Ronald DeFeo Jr. who killed his family in Amityville in 1974. He believed that one of the ghosts of the victims had visited him; Marcelo uploaded a photograph of the spirit to his Facebook page this past December.
