Casey Kasem’s Children Barred From Visiting Father

As Casey Kasem, the famous US radio personality and voice actor, battles the advanced stages of Parkinson’s disease his current wife is inexplicably preventing his three eldest children from seeing him. Kasem’s three children from his first marriage Kerri, Julie and Mike say they have not been able to see their father for three months because of their stepmother Jean. Jean has apparently had Kasem in isolation from all of his friends and the rest of his family during that time.

The children have presented Jean with an ultimatum. She has one week to allow them to see their father before they take legal action. Last Tuesday the children along with some of Kasem’s other friends, including some in their seventies, protested their not being allowed to visit him. Jean called the police and has not made any comments concerning the matter yet.

If Jean does not allow them access to Kasem they will be filing for conservatorship, which would put him in their care instead of hers. The three children are not included in Kasem’s will and have expressed that it is not a matter of money. They all have jobs and trust funds and simply want to see their father.
