People Magazine is reporting that actress Charlize Theron spent the recent holidays with actor Sean Penn at his oceanfront home overlooking the beach in Oahu. The 38-year old Theron left 2-year old son Jackson at home with the nanny so she could spend some quality time with Penn, who sources say has been a close friend for several years. There were rumors of a reported romance between the two when Theron split with Stuart Townsend almost four years ago. Now close sources report that the two have rediscovered one another since last October, when they were flirting opening with one another at a Halloween party.
Sources say they were seen on the beach in Oahu together, getting a sun tan and enjoying the warm ocean breezes. After New Year’s Day, the two were spotted disembarking from the same flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles. Penn’s car was parked at Theron’s house the day after New Year’s. Penn, who is currently starring in the film “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, was previously married to pop star Madonna as well as actress Robin Wright. Neither Theron nor Penn have made any public comment as to whether they are a couple.
