Chris Brown Arrested On Felony Assault Charge

Chris Brown Assault in Washington, D.C.

Chris Brown, and another man by the name of Christopher Hollosy, were allegedly involved in what the police called a physical altercation with a third man whose name was not released. The altercation took place at 4:30 in the morning in front of the W Hotel located in the 500 block of 15th Street NW.

Responding officers arrested Brown and Hollosy, and the third man who appears to have been the victim of the assault, was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released.

Brown and Hollosy are being held until their court date on Monday. This is inconvenient for the singer, who was slated to do a series of hosting events at night clubs throughout the weekend in order to try and draw publicity from the crowds attending the Howard University Homecoming.

TMZ adds:

Law enforcement sources and the alleged victim tell TMZ … before striking the man, Chris said, “I’m not into this gay s**t, I’m into boxing.” After Chris punched the man, the fight was taken to the ground.

Sources connected with Chris tell TMZ … the alleged victim is full of BS. He was NOT trying to take a pic with Chris … he was trying to get on Chris’ tour bus, and Brown was simply trying to stop a trespass. The sources say before the incident the 2 girls tried to get on the bus but they were stopped, and that’s when the victim and his friend made their move.

Brown is currently on probation since pleading guilty to attacking his then-significant other Rihanna in the year 2009.

Though he’s had several run-ins with law enforcement, Brown’s probation has not yet been revoked. In addition to this most recent incident though there have been court filings which claim there is no evidence Brown ever fulfilled his required hours of community service he was assigned.

Earlier this month, the promoter of four Chris Brown concerts in Canada scheduled this summer canceled the events after consulting with Brown and in light of his recent personal and health-related issues.
