Desk Job Dining Can Lead to Obesity
While taking a lunch break is standard at most places of employment, there is an increasing trend of people who take their lunch break at their desk, and often these people also are inclined to snack at their desk. In a recent survey conducted out of the UK, it was found that the people who take a lunch break at their desk tend to take in a higher caloric intake than those who dine out for lunch. In fact, the average caloric intake for those who eat at their desk is 1,200 calories per day.
With a high caloric intake such as this, and an average daily diet of 2,000 to 2,500 calories as a recommended maximum daily intake, it is easy to see how people are overeating once breakfast and dinner are factored into the equation. That is why dining out or packaging a healthy lunch are highly recommended for those people who have a desk job.
