Dog Makes a Meal of a Man’s Family Jewels

A 39-year-old paralyzed man from Trumann, Arkansas has found out the hard way that not all dogs are qualified for the moniker “Man’s Best Friend,” as his newly adopted dog made a meal of one of his testicles, reports the Huff Post.

The dog was rescued just three weeks prior to this incident. The man hoped the stray would become a perfect pet companion; his hopes were met with a grim twist of fate. The paralyzed man told a source that he sleeps in the nude and has no feeling from the waist down. He woke up on that fateful morning to a burning sensation in his abdomen and his fluffy, white pup between his legs.

The dog had blood on its muzzle and paws. It was then that the man realized he was missing a prized piece of anatomy.

The Arkansas man was rushed to a local hospital and treated for his injuries. The dog was captured by local police officers and taken to a veterinary clinic where it was euthanized. The remains were sent to the Arkansas Department of Health to be checked for rabies. There is no word on whether the dog was afflicted by the disease.
