Shona McGarty, the stunning dark haired blue-eyed beauty from the popular English soap opera “EastEnders”, has a new beau: 22-year-old Ryan Wilkins of the pop group “Projekt Weekend”. The couple was spotted holding hands in what friends describe as a romance that has budded over a very short period. Friends of McGarty say the 21-year-old starlet is “smitten” by Wilkins. There is a chance that McGarty is on the rebound as she recently broke up with fellow co-star Matt Lapinskas, age 24. McGarty has been dating Lapinskas.
However, while he participated in the reality show “Dancing on Ice”, he fell for his dance partner Brianne Delcourt, age 32. McGarty wasn’t looking for a new romance after the betrayal by Lapinskas, but she was taken by the handsome Wilkins.
In other news, McGarty is recording her first songs. By her own admission, she writes her own lyrics and sings her songs often. Fans of McGarty do not need to fear that she’ll be leaving the show anytime soon.
She claims she’s recording these songs strictly for personal use. Her friends believe that if she were offered a record deal she would leave the EastEnders. McGarty has been playing the character “Whitney Dean” on the show since 2008.
