It seems like it wasn’t too long ago that Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem, was dropping lines in many of his songs about his daughter, Hailie Jade. While Hailie may have stayed out of the limelight as of late, she has been getting her share of publicity lately.
This past weekend Hailey was named homecoming queen of Chippewa Valley High School in Michigan. More than just a title for the most popular girl in school, the voting for Chippewa Valley homecoming queen includes votes from the students, staff, and community, showing how involved this young woman has become.
To accept her crown, her mother, Kim, escorted Hailey while Eminem watched from a nearby classroom. It’s quite amazing to think of the journey that these three have been through since Eminem began rapping about the family nearly two decades ago.
To make the homecoming celebration even better, Chippewa Valley won their football game. As for her king, a young man by the name of Tyler won that nod. One has to wonder how close Tyler was willing to get to Hailie, not wanting to anger her father and have a song made about him. However, it looked like all was fun and laugher for the Mathers family on Saturday.
