A Florida resident by the name of Charles Barry has been arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement official and improper exhibition of a firearm.

What elaborate scheme did Charles Barry commit to end up with these charges?

A 10% discount from Dunkin’ Donuts.

While the economy has not been the greatest, police have payed no sympathy to Charles Barry who frequently visited a branch of Dunkin’ Donuts on a daily basis under the false pretenses of being a law enforcement agent just so he could get a 10% discount, a promotion Dunkin’ Doughnuts currently gives to law enforcement officials.

The Store Manager told police that Charles was denied a discount on the basis of taking advantage of it and using it on a daily basis. What led to his arrest was when Charles decided to take it to another level. As per his routine, he drove up to the driveway window and flashed his badge for his discount, when he was denied, the clerk said he then “held up a holstered gun and said ‘See I’m a cop!'”.

Charles was eventually given a discount but upon returning to that Dunkin Doughnuts that very same day, the Store Manager recorded his license plate.After being reported Police caught up to Charles’s vehicle using surveillance video set up at the stores location. When apprehended, police found a former law enforcement badge that belonged to his father and a .38 caliber pistol.
