Girl Born with No Vagina Was Unaware of Condition

London, England – 17-year-old Jacqui Beck is a beautiful blue-eyed lightly blond young woman. She hasn’t yet had a boyfriend, but that wasn’t due to a lack of interest; the teen simply hadn’t met anyone she was interested in dating.

Her world changed when she visited her doctor to complain of back pain and a lack of a menstrual cycle. Upon examination, she was diagnosed with having Müllerian agenesis, a congenital disorder where a woman lacks part or all of the vaginal system, reports the Huff Post. The teen initially took the news very hard with words like “freak” passing through her mind.

“I left the doctor’s [office] in tears. I would never know what it was like to give birth, be pregnant, have a period. All the things I had imagined doing suddenly got erased from my future,” Beck told the Daily Mail. “I was really angry and felt like I wasn’t a real woman any more.”

However, she has since found out that she is far stronger and more resilient than she previously imagined. Her doctor got her connected with a support group of women with the same diagnosis. Hearing other women share similar stories and struggles has been helpful for her.

Beck was given a dilator which she must use to stretch open her vaginal canal in preparation for sexual intercourse someday. She struggled with the idea of using it, but has since embraced it as part of her treatment.

Despite not being able to bear children, she believes the condition will help one day her meet the man who truly loves her.

Despite the shocking news, she is trying to see her condition in a positive light – and even as a way of making sure she meets the right man.

She tells The Mail: ‘If he has a problem with it, then he’s not the kind of guy I want to go out with.

‘I’m a hopeless romantic and I see it as a great test of someone’s character. Instead of focusing on it putting off men, I actually think it will help me find, “the one”.

‘I want to be upfront with any men I meet and tell them straight away about my condition. I don’t want them to feel tricked into being with me.

‘I will feel more comfortable if they know the truth and besides, if they run at the mention of MRKH then I don’t want to be intimate with them.’

The young teen hopes that the condition becomes more well known, so that other women realise they have it earlier than she did.

‘I had only told five of my best friends, but then I realised it’s not something I should be ashamed of.

‘If I had cancer, or, any other medical issue, people would be supportive. So, I recently came out to everyone on Facebook, telling them about my condition.

‘I was surprised at how positive everyone was, they said I was brave and beautiful, now I wish I had been open about it from the beginning.’
