Isabella Dutton Says She Regrets Having ChildrenIsabella Dutton Regrets Having Parasitic Children

Isabella Dutton of the United States provided a deeply personal interview on her feelings about motherhood. The 57-year-old happily married mother of two children does not mince words when speaking of motherhood: she regrets it.

In her case, Isabella knew from the time she was little that she didn’t want to have children.

In her case, there was nothing amiss about her upbringing. She was born one of five children to parents. She was very close to her mother and remained so throughout adulthood.

She married her high school sweetheart at age 19 and was clear that she didn’t want children. However, when he began asking if she were willing to have a child, she relented to make him happy. At age 22, she had her first child; a boy named Stuart. Three years later, she had a daughter named Jo. She views children as parasites who life off the resources their host but do not contribute to the hosts’ health.

Candidly, she describes thoughts that fly directly in the face of what most mothers say about their children – or at least what they think they should say.

“My son Stuart was five days old when the realization hit me like a physical blow: having a child had been the biggest mistake of my life,” she wrote.

“I felt completely detached from this alien being who had encroached upon my settled married life and who had changed it, irrevocably, for the worse.”

Mrs. Dutton regrets the personal time she lost being a mother. At face value, a person might be inclined to think that Mrs. Dutton’s testimony was delivered from prison where she is serving a life sentence for child murder.

Her story is the exact opposite. She had a second child so her son wouldn’t be alone. She devoted herself 100% to being a good nurturing mother.

She cared for the children as opposed to letting a nanny do it. In fact, if everyone had the integrity and resolve of Mrs. Dutton there would be little to no divorce and many happy children.

what do you think? since so much of a mother’s love is hormonal drive to procreate and protect, i don’t think it impossible that some people just dont have the hormonal drive to do so and we all certainly do things for our spouses that we dont want to do. i dont think it makes her a bad person. i think the more we, as a society, normalize the lack of desire to have children the better it is for all involved. this idea that any young woman who declares she doesn’t want children will ultimately change her mind is seriously detrimental.
