Actress Jaime King is Pregnant with Her First Child

34-year-old actress Jaime King, star of the hit series “Hart of Dixie” on the CW Network, announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Kyle Newman, reports E!.

King is known for playing the lead role in the blockbuster film “My Bloody Valentine 3D” which grossed $100 million on a budget of $15 million. She and her husband have been married for roughly six years. The delivery date for the baby will be towards the end of this year.

The happy mother-to-be announced the good news to her fans via Twitter where she said their family had to make room for an additional baby. The couple has two prior “babies” but this next one will be the first human baby. The prior two are the beloved dogs. The hit series “Hart of Dixie” has been renewed for a third season, but it isn’t clear if King’s pregnancy will be written into the story line or avoided. The news caps an inspiring transformation that King underwent.

She was addicted to heroin from age 14 through 19. It wasn’t until her boyfriend Davide Sorrenti died at age 20 from liver failure brought on by heroin use that King underwent rehabilitation.
