Garner Snaps Paparazzi At Local Farmer’s Market Encounter

Don’t mess with actress Jennifer Garner when she is in full mother mode, accompanied by her children. When Garner and her three children recently visited a farmer’s market in Pacific Palisades, California, a photographer insisted on filming the family despite Garner’s protests.

Garner then got out her own cellphone and immediately began filming the photographer, something her husband, actor Ben Affleck, has been known to do when bothered by paparazzi. Garner continued to berate the photographer for violating her family’s privacy while the brazen pap just smiled and continued to snap away.

Garner recently testified before the legislature along with fellow actor and mother Halle Berry in support of new anti-harassment laws that would protect the children of celebrities from being accosted by photographers when out in public.

Garner acknowledges that although she chooses to be in the spotlight due to the nature of her profession, that same choice is not made by her children or any children who simply happen to have famous parents.

Garner claims that photographers hoping to capture candid shots of her family is traumatizing her children.

“I chose a public life … [but] my three children are private citizens,” she said. “I love my kids. They’re beautiful and sweet and innocent, and I don’t want a gang of shouting, arguing, lawbreaking photographers who camp out everywhere we are all day every day to continue traumatizing my kids.”

Family friend Matt Damon reports that Garner and Affleck have to live with several cars containing photographers always parked outside their home.
