KFC 7-foot bucket On Front Lawn Turns Heads (PHOTO)

Aleena Headrick, a woman from Waynesboro, GA came home to a 7-foot KFC bucket on her lawn last Thursday, July 25. The gigantic bucket was simply sitting on her lawn. In her confusion she posted an image of it on facebook and expressed that she would be bringing it to the next potluck she attended. There was of course no chicken in it because it was an old sign that had been displayed outside of a KFC restaurant. Where the bucket came from remained a mystery.

“I was driving by, I saw this giant Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket in my yard, and I thought for sure I was hallucinating, so I called my teenagers who were at home and had them go outside,” Headrick said.

 

It turns out that her landlord, Freddie Taylor, had placed it there for temporary safekeeping. Taylor, a collector of old signs, had purchased the giant KFC bucket. Headrick remained amused about the huge bucket and said that it is a good landmark for people visiting her. As long as it remains she plans to tell everyone to “Come down to the giant KFC bucket and turn right.”

Yum Brands, the KFC parent company, has offered to give Headrick a free fried chicken picnic to ease the pain from waking up every morning to an empty chicken bucket. KFC spokesman Rick Maynard told the Huffington Post, “They’ve got the bucket, now they just need the chicken.”
