TV reality star and socialite Kourtney Kardashian was brought to tears in a recent episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”.
In the episode, 33 year old Kourtney was commenting on her weight being 115 pounds, which represents more than half the baby weight she gained during her second pregnancy with boyfriend Scott Disick.
Kardashian was obviously feeling insecure and looking for a word of support from her lover when he took to chastising her that given her height she should weigh 93 pounds calling that weight a point where her body is “banging”.
“Do you know what you’re supposed to weigh for your average weight for your height?” Disick said.
The 5-foot-tall reality star said it was probably 105 pounds, though she weighed 95 pounds when she and Disick first met.
“I feel like 93 is the dream,” he said. “Your body was bangin’ when I first saw you on the beach.”
“You are so crazy,” she said after breaking down into tears. “I’m trying to do this the healthy way.”
“Do it the healthy way — just do it faster,” he said.
Kardashian then exasperated began crying streams of tears. Fans of the show will not be surprised at Disick’s insensitivity towards the mother of his two children; he has a long history of making acerbic comments to her and subsequently apologizing.
Scott finally realizes that he hurt Kourtney’s feelings when he sees her in tears, and tells her, “You know that you’re perfect. I just felt like you wanted to lose a couple extra pounds. I just feel like sometimes you want to be thinner …”
“I’m sorry, doll. You’re a good-looking lady. You’re proportioned properly, you got a beautiful kneecap and a gorgeous little face.”
He also took to twitter to continue his half-hearted applogoy.
“Wow seems like when talking about weight a lot of issues come up.Never realized how upset people get when a person makes a comment about weight. P.s anyone who has to much to say probably had to much to eat. #fatasses,” he wrote in a series of tweets.
As in other episodes of the show, Disick later recanted his words and apologized to Kardashian.
