Man Refuses to Accept Devilish W-2

One Tennessee man is choosing God over country with his literal interpretation of a Bible verse. The book identifies the number 666 as the number that the Antichrist wants to have used as “the mark of the beast”, stamped onto of his earthly followers, presumably for easy identification. The Bible didn’t mention anything about someone’s W-2 form, the annual form sent by employers to verify earnings for tax reporting purposes.

That didn’t stop a man from refusing to file his taxes or report to work after his W-2 was numbered as the 666th to be printed by his employer. The born again Christian felt that if he accepted the document, he would be the same as selling his soul to the devil.

“If you accept that number, you sell your soul to the devil,” he told the Tennessean.

The man’s employer is Contech Casting LLC in Clarksburg Tennessee and they have agreed to send him a replacement W-2 in an unnumbered envelope in order to coax the maintenance man back to work.
