Beautiful Video Shoots Results in Mariah Carey Hospitalization

Her new music video may be called “Beautiful” but the experience of filming it was anything but for singer Mariah Carey. Carey had to be rushed by ambulance for emergency medical treatment after she suffered a dislocation of her shoulder while on the set of her latest video. She was reportedly on the set at an undisclosed New York location with rapper Young Jeezy when the incident occurred.

Representatives for the singer did not offer any details as to how the 43-year old singer sustained an injury to her shoulder that required medical attention. They do admit, however, that she was transported to a nearby hospital where doctors in attendance were able to reset her shoulder back into its socket.

The singer is reportedly now resting comfortably at home and seems to be doing fine despite all the excitement.

Carey got her start in the music industry under the guidance of Tommy Mattola, an executive with Columbia Records whom she eventually married. By the year 2000, Columbia Records and her marriage to Mattola were history and she soon signed with Virgin Records. Over the past 20 years, Carey’s popularity has never waned and she has sold more than 200 million albums around the globe.
