44-year-old Brian Hugh Warner aka Marilyn Manson, the gothic style heavy metal rocker of the late 1990s and early 2000s is a big fan of the HBO series “Eastbound & Down”. So it should surprise no one that he would make a guest appearance on the show.
However, it turns out that unless Manson wears a sign on this chest reading “I’m Marilyn Manson”, most people won’t recognize him as such without his trademark makeup. Manson is recognizable by many for his dual-colored eye contacts and gothic white face & guy liner. In all candor, it is hard to decide whether Manson looks more homely with or without the makeup.
Regardless, the show’s creator and star Danny McBride was thrilled to have the legendary rocker on the show and said Manson’s presence added a “creep” factor to the episode, but he meant that as a complement. This is the final season of the HBO comedy series and there’s no word yet when the Manson episode will air.
For his part, Manson has done a little bit of acting in the past, but mainly in cameo appearances. Manson’s recording career is still viable at age 44, but it has diminished from the days when his 2000 CD entitled “Holy Wood” sold 9 million units worldwide.
