Mexican woman forced to wear chastity belt for 12 years Before Calling Police

(Note that no “old” chastity belt specimens in European museums have been proven to date from before the late 16th century or 17th century, while some are outright 19th century forgeries.)
Zacatlame, Mexico – a 25-year-old Mexican woman admitted to police that her 40-year-old boyfriend has been securing her jeans shut with a lock every day of their twelve year relationship. Aside from the obvious criminal aspect of a 28-year-old man living with a 13-year-old in a sexual relationship, the perp José Antonio, didn’t trust her to be true to him and would lock her pants on during the day.
The issue came to a head when she desperately needed to relieve herself, but didn’t have to courage to cut her pants loose out of fear of offending her boyfriend. She sought assistance from the police who arrested Antonio; he gave officers the key to her quasi-chastity belt.
However, authorities were surprised that the woman was unwilling to press formal charges against Antonio once he was behind bars. Really? Ever hear of Stockholm Syndrome? At any rate, Antonio was charged with some Mickey-Mouse misdemeanor charge and set free after several hours. For what it’s worth, he signed a piece of paper stating that he’ll never use a padlock to tie her pants shut nor abuse his girlfriend in any form. The latter is quite a broad statement and it is unclear how just how profoundly Antonio has repented of his prior ways.
