Ohio Man Legally Dead
Apparently, the two things that a person could bank on in life, death and taxes, have been overturned in an Ohio court, on October 8. Presiding Judge Allan Davis declared that 61 year old Donald Eugene Miller Jr. was legally dead, though it appeared that he was alive and well in court on Tuesday. Judge Allan Davis had declared him dead almost 20 years ago with the three year time limit that was on his death.
In 1994, Judge Davis resided over the Hancock County Probate Court when Robin Miller, Donald’s ex-wife, stated that he had left her and her two children in 1986, and at that time he owed over $26,000 in back child support.
Donald Miller declared in court that he was an alcoholic when he left the family. He left home and began working odd jobs in Atlanta and Marathon, FL as his means of support. He said he never wanted to go to an alcohol rehabilitation center, which would have had records.
Miller’s parents say that Donald came back to the area in 2005, and at that time they told him he had been declared dead. The judge stated that he was adhering to the three year time limit on his death, and added that this was a “strange, strange situation.”
