Calvin Parker (19) Case
UFO abductee still haunted four decades later
A man who claims he was abducted by extraterrestrials four decades ago says he is still haunted by the incident. Calvin Parker, Jr., 58, was only 18 when he and his friend, Charles Hickson, encountered bright blue lights on the banks of Mississippi’s Pascagoula River on October 11, 1973.
Hickson, now deceased, stated at the time that he and Parker were taken aboard a spacecraft by levitation and inspected by a “large floating eye”. Parker said the three aliens gave him a physical examination while he was awake but in a paralyzed state. Afterward, both were released to the area where they had been taken.

Parker and Kickson reported their experience, which drew the attention of both UFO buffs and more skeptical types who offered rational explanations. The story became part of a larger urban legend that included hoaxes and jokes. Eventually, several books were written about the case.
The Pascagoula incident reignited fascination with UFOs and aliens, which began in the late 1940s after an alien spacecraft was reported to have crashed at Roswell, New Mexico. Although the government supposedly had the craft and two dead alien bodies, it maintains that the Roswell incident was not alien in nature.
Parker describes his abduction in this clip from the mid 70’s.
