Michelle Pfeiffer Didn’t Know She Was in a Cult

Building a career in Hollywood is difficult, even under the best of circumstances. Many people find themselves searching for a place to belong while trying to sort out their professional career at the same time. This is true of Michelle Pfeiffer. According to the website radaronline.com, the actress herself has stated that when she was in her twenties and just starting out in Hollywood, she started going to what she thought were two personal trainers. However, they were actually members of a cult and they were secretly recruiting her without her knowledge.

She revealed that they were members of a cult which believed that they did not need any type of food or water to survive, but that sunlight absorbed through their skin would provide them with all of the nutrients they needed.

“They were very controlling,” the actress explained. “I wasn’t living with them but I was there a lot and they were always telling me I needed to come more. I had to pay for all the time I was there, so it was financially very draining. They believed that people in their highest state were breatharian.”

She has also stated that as soon as she realized that it was a cult, she got out as fast as she could. However, her experience goes to show how easy it is for people to find themselves in similar situations without any intent to do so on their own part. This can serve as a reminder that when something doesn’t seem quite right, that’s probably because it isn’t.
