Rumors are circulating that both Batman and Wonder Woman could appear in the Superman: Batman vs. Superman sequel. Fans have been clamoring for more female superheroes and Wonder Woman may just fit the bill.

Greg Silverman, of Warner Brothers, recently told Variety, “We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them. Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.”

Speculation is airing that Jamie Alexander, of Thor: The Dark World, may play Wonder Woman. Alexander recently told Forbes reporter, Mark Hughes, “I gotta say, Marvel really writes their women very well…” It is curious how she knows so much about the characters, and why she seems to be the current spokesperson. Perhaps she really will play Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman was created by American psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston. Here story was first published, by DC Comics, in December 1941. She fights for justice, love, peace, and sexual equality. Her weapons include a Lasso of Truth, a pair of bracelets, and a tiara. She was originally conveyed as fighting the Axis military forces. The sequel to Superman is scheduled to come out in 2015.
