Mike Riley Shares Awesome Chainsaw Pic On Thanksgiving
Oregon State Football coach Mike Riley took more than a little inspiration from the movie “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” when he tweeted his annual Thanksgiving Day message this year. The photo he tweeted to followers featured a picture of three Oregon state football team members in full game regalia, with the center player hoisting a chainsaw aloft for everyone’s intimidation. The printed greeting stated Happy Thanksgiving! From Oregon State Football. Many fellow tweeters commented that they wondered if Riley was substituting a chainsaw for an electric knife when carving up his holiday bird, while others mentioned that the chainsaw was an appropriate symbol for the OSU team, which has often “cranked like a chainsaw” when the going got tough between the third and fourth quarters of past games.
The annual football game between Oregon and Oregon state has long been known as the Civil War. The OSU cheerleading team has even gotten into the chainsaw spirit of things with a new YouTube video showing everyone how to do the chainsaw. Coach Riley, not to be outdone, tweeted a photo of himself grinning widely at the camera and lifting a chainsaw high into the air with the caption, “Got Chainsaw? I do”.
