Mysterious Princess Diana Advice Tapes Surface

Princess Diana reportedly recorded tapes for William just a few months before her death. Kensington Palace has so far declined to comment, but a source close to Diana says that the content of the tapes is extremely similar to a number of sentiments Diana expressed around the same time.

Lana Marks, a Los Angeles businesswoman who designed handbags for the late Princess, had long been a confidant of Diana’s. According to her, the tapes not only sound like Diana, but everything said also bears an uncanny resemblance to several discussions they had regarding her son Prince William.

“Oh my God, I know her choice of words, the way she would say things and this sounds exactly like her.

“I knew Diana very well during the last 18 months of her life. Diana discussed with me in great detail what she wanted for William in terms of a wife, children – what she wanted for his future,” Mrs Marks told the Daily Mail.

“When I hear the contents of the tape, they echo what she discussed with me in great detail. It is uncanny.”

The Globe, a US magazine, revealed the existence of the tapes and claimed they were made because Diana feared for her life. The voice on the tape advises both William and his future wife. She warns about being married when in the public eye and encourages them to cherish their children for her, as if knowing her time was short.

According to reports, Diana made the tapes with her parental advice in case she would not be around to guide her boys, reports dailystar.co.uk.

Los Angeles-based Mrs Marks added: “Kate is absolutely everything Diana wanted. She even said William’s wife would have dark hair.

“Diana wanted someone down-to-earth for William, with a close family unit so he could enjoy a normal family life. She wanted a future queen of the people for the people.”

Kensington Palace has so far declined to comment on the existence of the tapes.
