Did popular R&B artist Ne-Yo really skip out on a restaurant bill? Ne-Yo, and a group of friends, visited the Negril restaurant in Manhattan. The eatery serves upscale American, Caribbean, Southern, and Jamaican cuisine. The offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as signature cocktails and drinks.

The manager, of the establishment, said Ne-Yo and company racked up an $800 food and drink bill before heading to a nearby nightclub. The manager attempted to track Ne-Yo down, in order to pay for the food, and he was told someone would be by the next day to make a payment. This happened in earlier October. As of October 31st, the restaurant still hasn’t been paid.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Ne-Yo is worth at least $16 million. Certainly an $800 food bill is a drop in the bucket. If not, it’s certain anyone in his management team could have picked up the tab. He is still a chart-topping artist, he made his debut only seven years ago. It is rare that a celebrity, of his caliber, would run out on a bill. Even if he thought it would be taken care of, it hasn’t, and hopefully he will give the restaurant servers a large tip.
