Jennifer Love Hewitt’s TV Show “The Client List” Gets Axed

34-year-old beauty Jennifer Love Hewitt’s popular Lifetime Network series “The Client List” has been canceled after recently completing its second season. However, it appears that ratings weren’t the main reason for the show’s demise.

The buxom size D actress with her petite 5’3″ stature was well cast as the housewife with a secret life as a high priced call girl, but her announcement of a pregnancy this past June forced screen writers to make adaptations to the storyline for the third season, reports Deadline.

“Lifetime and Sony TV were in a creative standoff with star Hewitt for storylines for a potential third season after the actress, who is an executive producer on the show, had requested that Brian Hallisay, her real-life fiancé and father of her baby, also play her character Riley’s baby daddy on the show,” Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva reported.

The question of how to handle the pregnancy became a source of contention with Hewitt wanting her real life boyfriend and co-star Brian Hallisay, also the father of her child, to be the father of a fictional child in the series. The show’s producers disagreed because they favored the character “Evan Parks” played by actor Colin Egglesfield as the fictional father.

Sadly, neither Hewitt nor the producers would compromise and it was decided that 100% of nothing would be preferable to 50% of something. Up until the news of the cancellation, the expectation was that Hewitt’s drama was certainly heading for a third season. The series was created after a hugely successful Lifetime Drama movie by the same name starring Hewitt.
