Psy’s Harvard Jokes

Korean Pop icon PSY attended the prestigious Harvard University Thursday night. Greeted with thunderous applause by the student body, the overnight internet sensation gave an unscripted speech within a church that was built and dedicated to soldier’s who gave their life in World War 1, a setting that had a stark contrast to the singer’s amusing, carefree discussion to student’s.

PSY said he “felt weird” giving a speech at the school, and reminisced on his days at Boston University, where he studied management. PSY implied that BU wasn’t much compared to the world renowned Harvard University. Although if his academics at Boston University were any indication, chances are he would not have done well at Harvard, as he joked about his nickname at BU: WWF – withdrawal, withdrawal, failure.

PSY opened up on topics like “Gangnam Style” going viral, which he was quite surprised of. The singer seemed humbled to have broken into the American market. From “Gangnam Style” to touching Madonna live on stage, and critiques of American morning television shows, PSY drew roaring laughter from the audience. He noted, “I cannot say I’ve been the best, but I can say I’ve done my best for 13 years.”
