Christmas Miracle For Rescued Puppy

According to an article recently published by Yahoo News, a minor Christmas miracle has occurred in the life of a young puppy who was rescued from imminent and certain death from a San Francisco recycling center.

The little poodle mix puppy was discovered whimpering and wiggling inside a trash bag. Apparently the young dog, a female whom San Francisco Animal Care and Control workers have named “Gem”, was also suffering from multiple bites around her neck area, which may have come from other animals.

As yet, there is no word as to just how the poor puppy wound up in a trash bag at the recycling center. But, in a flash of good news, the animal is expected to make a full recovery. Efforts are already underway to place the young puppy in a new home.

According to Animal Control officer Lee Ellis Brown, “She’s a precious little gem that ended up in a trash can.” Material handler Gregory Foster had this to say: “We could tell the puppy was still moving and it was trying to crawl out of the bag itself. Luckily we stopped the line in time before it actually fell off the belt into the pit.”
