Early Bird Black Friday Shopper Doesn’t Get the Worm, Gets a Slug in the Leg

Las Vegas, Nevada – It’s supposed to be that the “early bird catches the worm”, but in the case of one early Black Friday shopper, what he got was a slug in the leg. The incident occurred on Thanksgiving Day as many retailers remained opened during the traditional family holiday in an effort to boost sales.

One resident of the Cambridge Towers Apartments had taken advantage of the opportunity for big bargains and was arriving home with a flat screen TV. Unfortunately, someone was waiting to rob him of his merchandise. That’s when the struggle began and the perp’s gun fired off as many as six rounds. One of the rounds struck the victim in the leg.

Apartment residents recalled hearing multiple gun shots going which were followed by someone screaming at the top of their lungs. The shuffle and screams frightened off the assailant who fled the scene leaving the TV in the middle of the street. The victim is expected to recover as the shot was not life-threatening. According to witnesses, there were multiple suspects involved and a detailed description of them has been given to police. The incident took place at 9:45PM.
