Robin Roberts has recently re-signed, re-enlisted or re-upped with the ABC News as co-anchor for the number one morning news program “Good Morning America.” Ms Roberts has been associated with the ABC network for a period in excess of 20 years. During contract negotiations, Robert’s expressed her desire to be awarded a fair deal with no bid warring involved. Remuneration relative to the new contract is rumored to be 13 to 14 million per year. The actual figure is rumored to be 10 million.

“Over a month ago, they quietly inked a new, long-term, very high seven-figure deal with Robin that will keep [her] at the company for years to come .?.?. it was a friendly negotiation,” said an insider.

“Robin’s been [at ABC News] for over 20 years .?.?. and will be a leader there for a very long time to come.”

Robin’s rise from feature reporter in 1995 to sharing the co-anchor desk with Diane Sawyer since 2005 proves that she can rise to the challenges that come her way including dealing with a health issue that necessitated bone marrow transplant surgery in 2012 and a period of recovery that extended into 2013. Within six months following the surgery, Roberts was back in her chair two to three mornings each week.
