Schwarzenegger prison lawsuit

Former California Prisoners Sue Ex-Governor Schwarzenegger
Bodybuilder turned movie action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger is the target of a lawsuit filed by more than 20 former and current California prison inmates. The prisoners are claiming that Schwarzenegger, who served as the Bear Republic’s 38th Governor between 2003 and 2011, knowingly kept them incarcerated in a facility where an outbreak of Valley Fever occurred. The prison facility in question is Pleasant Valley Prison, located in Central California. The alleged outbreak of Valley Fever there caused the deaths of more than two dozen inmates in addition to leaving many others with chronic symptoms of the disease, including crippling and disfigurement.

The former governor is not the only political figure named in the lawsuit. Current and former inmates who say they were harmed by Schwarzenegger’s decision to keep them jailed at the infected prison facility are also claiming that California’s current Governor, Jerry Brown, is guilty of doing the same thing. The prisoners say they were exposed to Valley Fever which was hidden in the soil at Pleasant Valley, resulting in damage to brain cells, amputations of limbs and lesions on various parts of the skin. The plaintiffs are seeking to cover costs for healthcare as well as suffering.
