Steve Parsons takes suicide pill in court, Faced Sentence For Sodomizing 14-Year-Old Girl
Steve Parsons, a 48-year-old Missouri man, allegedly committed suicide by swallowing a cyanide pill after learning that he had been convicted of sodomy. Maryville Police Department
Steve Parson was facing seven years in prison for sodomizing a 14-year old girl when he committed suicide in the courtroom. The maximum seven year sentence was delivered by the jury and he took a cyanide pill in the courtroom. The Missouri native experienced respiratory failure in the courtroom.
June 25th is when Paron reported order a hundred grams of cyanide that he had shipped to himself overnight.
The chemical was delivered to his home. The judge was polling the jury when Parson said he was going to be sick, drank some water and went back to his seat. He tilted his head back, arched his back and began having a seizure.
The toxicology reports are not final. He died at the hospital, after having a seizure in the courtroom.
It is believed that he had the pill in his mouth when he entered the courtroom because he was not seen doing anything other than drinking water before he began seizing. Parson had previous convictions for criminal charges, traffic violations, a civil suit, protection order and violations of parole.
The case has been closed and the records of the court have been sealed. Micheal Marin died the same manner in a courtroom during 2012 after he was convicted of burning his home down deliberately.
