Teen stabs sister 40 times, felt “unappreciated”

11-Year-Old Girl Stabbed 40 Times by Her Teenage Big Sister

Chicago, Illinois – Dora Betancourt, age 11, has lost her life at the hands of her older teenage sister. The alleged murder is only 14-years-old. The reason for the murder is simple: ingratitude. It isn’t clear what the dynamic was between the two sisters or if there was envy on the part of the older sibling. Typically, the older child tends to bear more responsibilities while the baby of the family enjoys more privilege.

Regardless, the teenage girl snapped and came at her younger sister with a knife. After she finished her knife-wielding rage, she phoned police claiming that a Hispanic male broke into their house and killed her sister. Upon arrival, police discovered little Dora Betancourt lifeless with as many as 40 stab wounds, but in actuality they were unable to determine the exact number.

It didn’t take long for the teen to confess to the murder. As soon as a strand of her hair was found on her sister’s body, she admitted her guilt. She said that when she attacked Dora she cited an incident of ingratitude every time she thrust the blade into her. The teen’s parents are emotionally shattered over the crime, but her mother was present for her arraignment.
