Country Music’s Toby Keith now Worth $500 Million

It has been reported that Toby Keith has earned $500 Million since the start of his career in country music, according to Forbes.

The money making machine is not due entirely to music sales, Keith has used his entrepreneurial savvy and now owns his own restaurant chain called I Love This Bar & Grill, has a endorsement deal with Ford Motor Company, has his own liquor label and owns 10 percent of the Big Machine record label that boasts Taylor Swift as a client.

It was estimated that last year he made around $65 Million making him the highest earning country music artist of that year. He made no less than $48 Million a year for the past five years with earnings reaching $270 Million during that period. Most of his money comes from record sales, song writing, and concerts and it is estimated that he can earn $1 Million gross while on the road.

Toby Keith successfully broke into country music in 1993 when his self-titled first album went platinum and has been going strong ever since. Not a stranger to controversy, Keith’s hit “Beer for My Horses” a duet with Willie Nelson, sparked racial tension when it was thought he was pro lynching and Keith defended his song saying it referred to the old west.
